Disappointing to see Ronnie disrespect people like that and he has shown himself up. There is no defence for that kind of behaviour and insults, whether they were made as a joke or not. I also don't buy into any illness causing people to act like this, if he is that ill, he needs sectioning.

He played exactly the same his last two visits to China, he isn't bothered about the tournament, he is just there to pick up his cheque from his lucrative watch promotion and laugh all the way to the bank.

The guy is only in snooker for money now, I said this some time ago, so long as he maintains his spot in the top 16 and Premier league and has a decent run at the bigger events that is all he is interested in.

Great player, terrible attitude, I've always maintained this.

The man(or should I say boy) is a walking disgrace both on and off the table. He has that sarcastic grin working overtime and just looking at him is enough to make you want to switch off, and that is before he opens his mouth.

The saying 'better to look a fool than open your mouth and remove all doubt' has never been more appropriate.

The boss, I dont agree. There are other ways to answer incompetent questions from journalists. The well known football coach Van Gaal (2 times CL winner) is always on the war path with journalists and attacks them in the media conference by saying their questions are too simple, subjective or without any substance. ROS could and should have dealt in the same way.

It's something Ronnie will be aware of more than anyone, especially now. But that kind of subconscious masochism giving in and breaking out into inappropriate hysteria is not something that can be avoided again after a chat. A punishment won't help either. People don't seem to understand this because they're so quick to stick the knife in all the time. That's why i made the point earlier than pushing it in terms of asking futile questions about the match is mistimed, insensitive and pushy at such moments. The visual messages transmitted during the match should have offered enough information, which should have been left at that.

What insight will a post-match interview offer at times when Ronnie is not feeling well? More insight into the match or inappropriate intrusion into his mind? They are not damn therapists. They can write whatever they want without jabbing for answers for their own egotistical amusement. And to think people judged Ronnie when he 'politely' refused to say anything before to save himself the misfortune of what happened yesterday. That's probably what got to him so much yesterday - the added pressure of having to say something in a foreign country or receive further vacuous scorn from some people.

I loved the snooker he played, his bizarre character adds to the game. I think he went too far but so what, that is ronnie. We all know he is mentally unstable and prone to weird outbursts.

I agree with the fact he plays this way in China every year and Malta too, and I'm not sure why he does play so disrespectfully. But like he said after the match he's enjoying snooker and thats all that matters to him. He's not in it for the money anymore - he could retire today and be financially stable for life but he still plays snooker. He's even said this season it doesn't matter how many titles he's winning and that it's all about having fun and enjoying the game but I reckon he still has the desire to win again. Especially the WC - I don't think we'll be seeing this kind of Ronnie in Sheffield.

OK, thanks to Black Cat I was finally able to watch the video (it wouldn't start on my PC for some reason..).
The whole conference was a little awkward thanks to the reporter who couldn't speak English properly and the long translating process. O'Sullivan didn't handle the situation at all well, in fact he acted like a retard. He was clearly annoyed that the Chinese reporters didn't speak English, but he shouldn't have reacted like that. I'm fairly sure he didn't think about the possible consequences, this might has to do something with his 'mental problems'.
I, personally, don't feel offended by his actions, but it's easy to see that some might feel that way (especially the Chinese).
Anyway, I'm curious how the Chinese fans/press will react to this, they'll not find it amusing one bit, that's for sure.
