Perhaps ROS site should be closed for some time. A lot of young, teenage girls are member of it and who wants his children to see and read stuff like this? Especially from someone they adore.

How great the player he is...he made himself look very pathetic. Poor Ros.
I saw that going differently in my mind

Yes, it would be interesting to find out if the Chinese press has written anything about it, somehow I rather doubt that.

Thanks Black_cat, your's was the only link that worked for me, bad enough but has it been sanitised? Doesn't seem half as bad as the Guardian report? There was a lot of graphic description there that was not in this video link.

Hello. Wim, are there any teenagers around you? I know lots of them. They would think that his game with the mic. was "cool". They would think that our dispute here is a ridiculous uncool hysteric blahblah among old people.
Don't get me wrong, please. I wouldn't like their attitude and would try to talk to them.

[QUOTE=The Boss;297182]It's something Ronnie will be aware of more than anyone, especially now. But that kind of subconscious masochism giving in and breaking out into inappropriate hysteria is not something that can be avoided again after a chat. A punishment won't help either. People don't seem to understand this because they're so quick to stick the knife in all the time. That's why i made the point earlier than pushing it in terms of asking futile questions about the match is mistimed, insensitive and pushy at such moments. The visual messages transmitted during the match should have offered enough information, which should have been left at that.

What insight will a post-match interview offer at times when Ronnie is not feeling well? More insight into the match or inappropriate intrusion into his mind? They are not damn therapists. They can write whatever they want without jabbing for answers for their own egotistical amusement. And to think people judged Ronnie when he 'politely' refused to say anything before to save himself the misfortune of what happened yesterday. That's probably what got to him so much yesterday - the added pressure of having to say something in a foreign country or receive further vacuous scorn from some people.
            [/QUOTE/

            What tosh!

All of O'Sullivan's problems are self inflicted.

            1. He signs a big sponsorship deal to promote the game in China.
            2. He then chooses (as usual) to not give a damn about trying to respect the biggest tournament they have. He plays as if it is a drunken knockabout down the club.
            3. He then is asked to explain his 'don't care' approach and then behaves like that.

It is time he was handed a severe ban. I would say at least a season.

You wouldn't get away with what he said in a job. You would be fired in most organisations. This 'horrible little man' should be shown the door.

Indeed moglet ... once again the press reports are overdoing the matter. As hard as I strained my ears I couldn't get any info of some piece of his anatomy my "well documented sad infatuation" certainly inclines me to seek ....

I said it so myself after I've watched it several times, straining my ears and cursing my English skills. Sanitized indeed, there was no mentioning of any anatomical details whatsoever. "Shape" and "size"???? Come ON.*rolls eyes hard*
If I were really mean I'd wonder in what state the writer was when he wrote that, but I am not that mean.
                  And you're most welcome, moglet.

Did the Guardian writer watch a different clip altogether? What the...?

The guardian stated he gave some info of the size and shape of his **** ...
Well I got an expurgated version of the press conference it seems... like menus in chic restaurants. The ladies don't get to know the prices ...

Oh, and i don't have any ASBO's

I watched the interview and i must admit i was very bored watching it, how would you feel sitting there for 7 minutes not understanding a word of chinese and then when you do understand something it is a question asking why did you seem to not care and why didn't you play better.....

He was amusing himself with whoever was beside him (does anyone know who that was?) but he did answer every question without being rude and with honesty.

Nothing wrong with having some jokey chat with his mate, just a shame he didn't bother to think about the fact that he would be heard...

Sorry but sitting 7 minutes is a part of his job. Probably many out here has tried the same on their jobs. Sometimes you maybe think that, but you just don´t say it !

Hi Sunflower, of course we don't have to worry about our teenagers because of this - they see and hear a lot more 'bad' things than this. But that was not my point. This is not a good thing how top sporters should promote the game and make themself look quite stupid. An incredible lack of respect for people you even don't know is the worst thing of all. That is what Ros showed and I have no problem you calling me 'uncool' for this. It is his problem first of all.

Anyway he will apologize , play some brilliant stuff in Sheffield and his
fans - like me - will be pleased again.

And another point to this. There are many complaints about snooker beeing on a deroute in terms of tournaments and monéy, and Asia is the continent that could change this, but who would invest in a sport where the biggest star is behaving like this ? This is very bad for the game.

I didn't say that you are uncool. I just said what teenies would think about us, me uncool oldfashioned blonde one included.

We needn't talk about your real point which has been mine, as well, throughout this thread.
