Well Rane I'm not so sure of this... along history of snooker who were the ones who drived audience and hype around the game? Alex Higgins? Jimmy Whithe? ... Not only them. I agree. But them also for a great deal ....

Firstly, before anyone starts accusing me of having ASBO's because i'm a Ronnie fan i will admit i am a Ronnie fan, I also like watching Shaun Murphy play as i do any player that who has a great talent (I'm i also a christian freek because i like Shaun?). Oh, and i don't have any ASBO's

I watched the interview and i must admit i was very bored watching it, how would you feel sitting there for 7 minutes not understanding a word of chinese and then when you do understand something it is a question asking why did you seem to not care and why didn't you play better.....

He was amusing himself with whoever was beside him (does anyone know who that was?) but he did answer every question without being rude and with honesty.

Nothing wrong with having some jokey chat with his mate, just a shame he didn't bother to think about the fact that he would be heard...

Dunno how many press conferences some of you have visited or how many reporters and journalists you talked to, but you sure treat it as more important than it really is. A spoiled brat pulls a few tired and stupid jokes at a press conference. So what? Do you fall into deep shock? Will snooker survive this blow? Life ban? Sir Rodney - time for capital punishment?

It would be a sad day when the popularity of snooker increased because a player said "such my dick" during a press conference.

Ronnie should be ashamed of himself, behaving like a complete idiot, and he can probably kiss the MBE goodbye for good now.

Thinsy, I agree with you on this one. I'm not saying anymore cos I cant be doing with the constant ronnie debate that goes on!! But, I am a true Ronnie fan and always will be no matter what he says or does.

But he is not God the Father and blindly adoring whatever he says or does is going too far for me. Though I must admit I defended him almost all the time and still will (like walking away in the Hendry match and on other occasions).
For some reason this one now is an aspect of his personality I do not appreciate at all. His arrogance is no problem for me, he is the strongest... but this is from another 'nature'.
But things will be ok soon after some humble apologies from his part.

Maybe Ronnie Jeremy would be snooker's biggest attraction if he took up the game. I'm sure he would try as much as O'Sullivan on the table and his got what is required downstairs.

On a serious note Tony Knowles got in serious trouble for selling his stories to a tabloid and to my mind that is far more acceptable than what that 'waste of space' O'Sullivan said at that Press conference.

Good riddance to O'Sullivan! He is about as funny as Catherine Tate and Little Britain combined!

Too true, it would be a sad day when and if this sort of thing had any effect upon the game itself, ROS does the business on the table sometimes, the thing is do we really need his off stage stuff to make it work? I hate to mention the possibility of his so called condition, how should this make any difference? He is by no means the only person who might suffer from the condition, I don't think I have come across another player who has - albeit with the collusion of his managers - used it to the extent that he should, per se, be forgiven for his aberrations.

when i watched the match yesterday..yes he was entertaining but it did not look or feel right to me......

he said he played well and he was beaten by a better player...................what rubish.....ive seen him play better and he said he played crap...

he went to china as a obligation not because he wanted to be there any fool could see that..........

I am also Ronnie fan.I love to watch how he is playing snooker.
Sometimes he is playing and behaving not so good. But who cares?
But I tell you something:
Ronnie O'Sullivan is simply stupid man.
And that is the point.
So what do you expect of him?
Simply silly jerk and genius of snooker.

ronnie has got away with so much in the past the only way he will start to behave like a pro is if he is punished severley otherwise he will continue to treat the great game of snooker as a joke
