Alright, I think we all need to chill out a little on this one, I am getting way too many PM's and emails about this thread.
Yes Ronnie was wrong for what he said.
Yes Ivan was wrong for bantering with him about it.
Is Ronnie sorry? probably yes
Is Ivan sorry? probably yes
Do we all make comments like what Ronnie said every now and they? Yes, do we do it in front of a crowd with a microphone and video camera in our faces? NO
Here is something else to consider, Put this situation into the work place which technically it is for Ronnie (and Ivan) could Ronnies comments be seen as sexual harassment and he be suspended pending an investigation? yes
and how do you think the ladies in question feel about his comments?
I think my last two statements are more important than any made on all the previous posts.

My e-degree in Law, let me show you it! And I'm saying that since I can only rely on common sense here.
Technically it is a work environment and if the lady/ladies in question didn't understand the comments at the time they were made, they could surely understand them later, when the entire incident exploded on the internet. Also, since Ronnie is seen making eye-contact with someone outside the camera's range while making his demand and also speak into the mike while doing so, it is no longer a matter of a private exchange between two adults, like it has been prior to that. And there is clearly a difference in sound between Ronnie's answers to the questions and his other comments so I must assume it wasn't on at the time - isn't there an on/off button to it? - and that the demand was caught by a different mike.
All I know about the matter I've got from too many American law series and a few cases in our media, but I seem to remember there has to be an official complaint filed. Or is that annulled by the fact that there were witnesses?
In fact, what would have happened if the same incident took place in a room where everyone was a speaker of English?
I give up, it's too complicated.S.P.I.L.F.

O'Sullivan has to be severely punished this time. His on table performance was scandalous and the comments were the icing on the cake.
If Rodney Walker doesn't ban him then he he loses any small amount of credibility he still has. If I was in charge O'Sullivan would never play in a professional tournament again.

I doubt less people will come to watch snooker if Ronnie gets banned.
I am all in favour for a complete ban for a full season. The Ronnie fanboys will stay at home and people who have a more broad appreciation of snooker will come instead."I'll be back next year." --Jimmy White

On the Boss's point, if Ronnie was to be banned from China next year, i think he would be delighted in all honesty.Last edited by dannyd0g; 29 March 2008, 02:32 PM."You can shove your snooker up your jacksie 'cos I aint playing no more!" Alex Higgins.

Ronnie is ruining the integrity of snooker every time he plays or does interviews. I would recommend a full season ban.
