I don't wish to get into trivial name calling. I will leave that to you Ronnie fans. I am going to stick on topic and I have spoken to someone today who was a Ronnie fan but now says he should receive a life ban. He should be kicked out of the game. There is no room in snooker for this child.

I've been into several sports during my 50 years on this earth. Some of them on national elite level - as active and trainer. In later years I am into administration as well. And I have been on god knows how many press conferences and I have heard and seen much worse things. 20 years ago an hounarable code existed; what a disappointed, ignorant or manic player said or did wasn't always relayed or written about.

Ronnies play against Fu is a little bit worse. But then again. If you followed any sport closely you sure would know that a player cannot put a 100 percent in everything. An athlete must make appearances sometimes when in a period where they actually should not be competing; at least not if you asked their trainers. If you followed snooker you obviosly recognize when a player turn up, make a half hearted appearance and loses. It happens and it must happens. Ronnie isn't clever enough to hide it. The match against Fu or the game against Dott in Malta a couple years ago.

I do not defend Ronnies behaviour. But you are way to extreme in your critisism. I suppose you enjoy to write the stuff and then read the reactions from what you call Ronnies fan boys. You take every opportunity to blow up whatever of ROS misbehaviour.

Every sport has one or even more Ronnies. They are often very gifted persons. Sorry to say the are also destructive towards themselves. I myself heard of a real ******* when I was a kid. He was a few years older than me. Insulting refs and other players. Shooting balls right up other players faces. Got warnings etc. But his play always attracted attention. As a 12 year he beat older guys. Finally the organization decided to ban him for a season. Thank God he became Mr Ice after that and in his early 20's went on to win Wimbledon several times.

I dunno why you are so hung up on Ronnie or Ronnies fan boys. Some kind of reflection stemming from your own subconsious feelings. Love and hate are two sides of the same coin and both of them could lead to obsession.

Anyhow, I don't want a debate with you frame. I've tried over at the 606 before but never got any answers when I asked you to elaborate your views or answered some of the points you made. You are making a lot of noise; reminds me of the empty barrels.

Really there isn't much to be added to this thread, it's all been said.

One thing remaining now is frame's attempt to answer to his own hypocrisy. That should be good.

Anyone calling for a permanent ban should prepare for a disappointment. A few people seem delighted with O'Sullivan's actions - it gives them another opportunity to berate him.

Clearly Ronnie didn't use his best judgement in the press conference and he will receive some form of punishment for that. The only good thing to come out of this will be the outrage and frustration of those people who revel in every little thing that Ronnie does wrong when they find out he is not to be publicly hung.
