It's pretty commonly used in all sports really, not just snooker. I think it's pretty fair to use with people like Lawler too as it's pretty spot on

I know what the term means, i.e. who to describe with it. I just thought it is something more, lets say slangish, and it is not the prefered term to use while commentating or writing articles. The truth is, it´s more an exception than rule for me to listen to English sport commentary, so I haven´t known it was widely used term.
Nothing to worry about of course, I was just wondering about the usage.
