  • China Open 2010 - Qualifiers Discussions!

    ..start today, don't they?

I'd like to see a couple of the Chinese players make it to the venue. I think there's about seven, and three or four more players from Asia. But most of them start in the very early rounds.

I am wondering if they will play qualification or rather go to wildcard round? On the other hand, that way they lose their ranking points, so probably best choice to play in UK and try to get through.

Yes, I think they all played in the Shanghai Masters qualifiers, except those who had visa problems. There is not much chance of them getting through, but it can't be helped at the moment. There is not enough of them to justify moving it to China...

Maybe when there's a couple more in the 17-32 or 33-48 group, their matches could be held over. But there are still some potentially strong wildcards this year, like Tian Pengfei and Yu Delu.

I think Liang's qualifying match could be moved to Beijing. Not sure about others, but we'll see. Come on Tony, do another wonder!

You never know what you are going to get with Mr Drago - I think he might either thrash his opponent 5-0 in about 30 minutes flat, or not find his form at all and struggle to string more than a few pots together.

But I hope its the former, and wish him the best of luck too.

I haven't heard of his opponent. But with Drago, you know the opponent never beats him - the table does with the help of the opponent. That explains why he pots a few and often breaks down. An exchange of dominance between him and the table. But for the sake of the scoreboard, the opponent must pot a few. The opponent works for the table, which is Drago's real opponent
