I certainly refuse to believe Ronnie has anything to do with match fixing, I sure hope it's something much more innocent than that, but with all the shot selections, you can argue all night and you won't have a conclusion, but that final black, he was clearing rolling it over the pocket, if you are a professional, needing to pot a near straight ball to win a frame, the white isn't near the cushion, no positional shot required on the white whatsoever, how would you go about it? I personally only know one way, and certainly rolling it isn't an option....

Anyway, I'm going off to sleep, this snooker is driving me crazy....

    • Didn't Tian Pengfei do the same last year? Think he beat Marco Fu in the last 32.

That's too bad. I wanted Marco to get his revenge.

(Though once I was told shots with top-spin are more accurate).

People who play snooker, when you'll get you-tube clip, take a look at that and report back please
no, shots that are just below middle on the white is more accurate, ie. the stun shot...

as far as I know... Ding wasn't on the main tour when he won the China Open...

Good night people... I'm off... ZzZzz...

Well - Tian Pengfei beat Marco Fu and got to the last 16 last year - and I think he was also a wildcard then. Consistent!

When he was on the tour, he did get to the last 32 and last 48 when he was on the tour, but it's hard for new players to stay on. That may be easier ongoing. But, perhaps he's given himself a chance of being a wildcard and returning to the tour full time?

              • "I thought I played ok, there were just two or three frames that I lost from a long way ahead, when Tian made good clearances," said the three-times World Champion. "I had a chance for 4-4 but I missed too many balls at crucial times.

From WOrld Snooker, this is what Ronnie said.
"I felt relaxed and my preparation was as good as it could have been, but I wasn't the better player on the night. I try hard and play to win every match, but if my form is not great I will struggle against good opposition. Apart from Shanghai and the UK Championship, this season I have been below the standard I set myself."

That had to be said tongue in cheek. He was just not in the mood to be there. Something does need done and no this is not a Ronnie witchunt

                    • I haven't seen it yet, but surely he didn't throw it maliciously?! Not on if he did. From the comments he gave at the end, it seems like he just played below his very high standards.
