    The WS site informs that It's only the second maximum made in a ranking event in Asia, following Stephen Maguire's in Beijing two years ago.

    Well, actually Jame Cope also made a maximum in 2008 Shanghai Masters.

        Shame about the other 5 frames though. I can never remember Robbo having a remotely good run in a Chinese tournament.

              [QUOTE=ref300;480457]Attempts in a Ranking event - correct

              In Western Australia in 2006 he did a 147 & 140 in the same match.
              Report of match here:snooker::snooker::snooker:

              That's exactly what I meant. I always knew Neil's capable of making 147's in a Ranking events and since he's a very emotional player, I've been waiting a while just to see his emotions after the maximum.
              More to come, that's for sure.

                There are cameras, check out the links for table 3 & 4 posted by Darrus in live streaming thread. So I'd guess the footage will appear on youtube.

                For me those streams unfortunately don't work (or well I can see a few seconds and then it stops), but for some they do.

                    It reminds me the Maplin UK Championship 2008 when Ding made his second maximum and lost Higgins 1-7. I thought, they completely lost the concentration after the break, the excitement was too high.

                      Eurosport.ru commentary said exactly the same thing - that making 147 changes players' condition so much that they at least immediately after it tend to lose a frame or more. He also said good that it happened so early in the match, Robberston will still have time to come back. Well he didn't.

                        Congrats, Melbourne Machine! :snooker:
                        Robbo's potting is so good he doesn't need to bother with positional play like the rest of the players. He laughs in the face of those who spend hours on the practice table perfecting their cue ball control! ~ Forman

                            This Happens so Often thou a Player Makes a 147 and Still Loses the Match!

                            I always Play a Match not for the Highest Break as you have Plenty of Time to go for Big Breaks if your still in Tourny, But if your Out you cant.

                            Only Frame Neil Won? And to Lose to Peter Ebdon 5-1 thats Unreal.
