I'd like to see a Dott/Mags v MJW final :snooker:
Haha I thought you'd like that

Dott/Mags v MJW final sounds good to me, seeing as Ali and Mark Allen are both fails!!!

Great frame of snooker, my favourite kind.

It always looked like it would go to Selby after the balls went scrappy. It's important for Selby to win frames like these, and I'm sure he'll be happy Ding didn't get a really good scoring visit after his century in the first frame.

          Hehe You thought right

They're history now... I'm checking live scoring every now & again! MJ seems to be doing well. Dott v Mags looks to be of good quality as well. Shame that neither are televised

This arena is insane! It's definitely the most impressive crowd I've seen in a snooker event so far. Judging from the TV, it works very well with the outer four tables.

As for the main table, it does seem like the audience is a bit too far away. There were a couple of times yesterday when I thought the atmosphere was lacking, probably because the audience was partly concentrating on other matches. I wonder what it will look like for the final...

I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts Elaine, if you are still here. And I wish you a fun weekend!
The amount of people there is indeed very impressive and all in all the event looks very well organised. And matches begin on time!

Only thing I'd complain is that they are streaming only one table.

I second that. Crowd in Germany met my expectations. I always thought Europe had at least equal potential in terms of marketing to the Far East, at least considering the audiences..

Yeah, and it's very reassuring to see the crowd this week, after the shoot-out event and all the people who thought this kind of snooker had no potential.

Good match too, Selby playing some good snooker to lead at the interval. With Williams and Dott being so convincing as well, it looks like it's going to be a brilliant conclusion to the tournament.

Absolutely. As long as the interaction with the crowd doesn't go beyond a disturbing point, it's fine

But still, this tournament could have been played in a different atmosphere. I mean, I don't even want to know MJW's average shot time at the moment, he's playing this like shoot-out!

Hope Welsh Open is better this season, I love the event, but somehow, it fails to attract the crowd in the recent seasons..

The Welsh Open has the added importance of being the final event to decide the seedings for the World Championship this year, should help.

What a great frame again. A fantastic escape from Selby when he was snookered behind the blue, and then the shot on the yellow and the brilliant clearance. It's good stuff.

Interesting match this Selby v Ding. There's been couple of frames Ding should've won. I'd say he's been a little unlucky in both of those. But, on the other hand, Selby's yellow (which wasn't an easy pot) to green was a great shot...
