  • Oh, so the bye doesn't count as a match. Then he has no chance, I agree.

    • So how are the players ranked? Number of wins then frame difference, I assume.

        • Its looking bad for John Parrott now... would someone take a look at Group D and try and make sense of it.

          1. Judd Trump 4/4
          2. Dermot McGlinchey 3/5
          3. John Parrott 3/5
          4. David Roe 3/5
          5. Ian Preece 3/5
          6. Dave Gilbert 1/4
          7. Jeff Cundy 1/5
          8. Drew Henry 1/5

David Roe vs Dermot McGlinchey is later today, before Parrotts match. Both those played have played 5 won 3 just like Parrott... so Parrott is going to down the table whoever wins.
          And Parrott plays Trump tonight.

                • If Tom Ford and Mark Allen both lose their last two matches, they'll be stuck at 3, with a less favourable frame average per match.

Tom Ford still needs to play Alfie Burden and Patrick Einsle, who are both at 1 won match, who will then go to 2 won matches.

Mark Allen still needs to play Alfie Burden and Lee Spick, who will then be at 3 won matches each.

It may all comes down to frame averages.

So ANYthing is still possible now. *recrosses fingers*

I think it goes on head 2 head before frame averages

Its getting too complicated to work out who can or cant qualify. Shame worldsnooker cant update their tables more regularly or at least put the players in order - that would be a start. I think it is possible that White, Drago, and Parrot can still qualify as long as the other matches in their groups go favourably for them.

                            • It has to be said. Internet score/table coverage has been rubbish during these qualifications.

                              • As far as I know there has been just one source of reliable updates - globalsnookercentre - throughout most of the qualifiers. worlsnooker live scoring wasnt working atall when i tried it on the first day.

I think there is just one person - Janie - on the GSC - who covers all matches herself - there are obviously limits as to what 1 person can do - and how quickly 1 person can keep all matches updated - but the whole of the internet snooker community seems to be relying on just 1 person for qualifier coverage - no pressure there then.
