              • Roy Stolk actually won a match...I'm shocked!

Nice to see Robin Hull getting back on track after his NIT campaign as well.

So now everything is nearing completion, the tournament throws up a few more questions like...

Do you think any of the qualifiers will make it past their first round groups? (Personally, I think Jamie Cope will)

Is there going to be a big name player who really struggles with the new format?

And the most pressing question of all...

Will Dene O'Kane ever turn up at a ranking tournament?

I think a lot of them will struggle DMJ. I can see a lot of shocks coming in Aberdeen.

In a recent interview Dene O'Kane said that he will start playing after christmas because he needed some serious practice beforehand

I think Jimmy can take some positives away from this. Before this he hadnt won any match atall for at least a year. He now has 3 wins under his belt, against some of the top new hotshots too. At least he now knows and has proven to all doubters that he can still compete.

                        • I reckon what they should do next year is remove the boring idea of one on one and have a big game of killer.

All 64players have three lives and you get one shot per turn. If you do not pot a ball you lose a life.

                          • Tom Ford and Mark Allen are both guaranteed to go through.
Even if Tom Ford loses his match against Patrick Einsle and Joe Jogia or Lee Spick also end up at 3 points, Tom Ford has beaten both of them, so he can't lose his second spot anymore.

It's kind of weird they went with head-2-head before frame average. Most sports that use a round robin format use frame scores or goal scores first. Ah well.

Are they going to use frame average then and not frame difference? The World Snooker site only has frame difference in the tables.

If I'm correct, frame average equals frame difference divided by number of frames, so they are the same.
