Even though my live scoring is a bit loopy I think Perry has just beaten Allen 3-0. Now if Ding beats Allen and Perry tomorrow and Dott beats Norman who will go through from group H?

Then you'd have 5 guys on 3 wins. So frame difference probably favours Ding and Perry.

He and Ding win their matches whilst Norman, Maguire, Perry both lose theirs????

Infact Dott can only go through is if Ding loses his match against Mark Allen which isn't going to happen and Ding beats Perry. Also Dott would have to beat Norman 3-0 which would mean Dott, Norman or Maguire would go through.

Sorry to backtrack a little, but I have been busy travelling to and attending a funeral, and have just got back. I would like a précis of today's events and I will start with:

Yesterday's BBC snooker page mentioned that Michael Holt beat Mark Williams – it was of course Robin Hull, not that Holt is even in Williams's group!

A 147! Apparently, but I see no mention of it here, which I find a bit odd! I presume it was not on a televised table, although it will be eligible for the televised maximum prize as it was made in a 'televised round'.

Don't think so either. Perry has already got 3 wins and way better FD than Dott's. So is Maguire. Whatever happens, Dott can't finish ahead of Perry and Maguire.

I think (could be wrong) that frame difference only decides when it's three or more people after the position.

(Hope frame difference *does* decide, though--I want Holtie to go through! )
