Don't know what everyone else thinks but Higgins is not playing at all. He is not giving 100% and that is wrong. The Thai player must be disgusted.

I really feel gutted for Issara, Alan doesn't deserve to go through after his performance today and I am really angry with Higgins' performance too. I hope, like David Roe did to Michael Holt, John apolagises to Issara.TSF World Champion 2010

To me it was obvious Higgins did not go for full machine today. Other than his 147 attempt he, I suspect deliberately, played well below the standard he's performed in all the other matches. McManus played some really terrible shots and missed quite a few balls by a some margin and yet managed to win easily 3-1. They showed poor Issara as he was watching the final frame, shaking his head. I'm so gutted! It is a MUST to play all matches in the group at the same time, and/or change the money and ranking points distribution so that it it more of an advantage to win your group.
And this system of calculating the group rankings is a farce. Why don't they copy the IPT system? It has worked flawlessly for litterary thousands of matches.

I am sure Higgins was still trying his best to win, but subconsciously of course he knew that he had qualified whatever – so even with the best will in the world the pressure would not be the same and it would be impossible for him to treat the match with the same importance as if his progression depended on it.

I already said yesterday that all the group last matches should be played in the same time. This will be fair for every player in the same group.
In another site, as the duration of each frame can be varied very differently, it is hard to control to finish all matches in the same time (not like Football match, 90minutes).
But, the tennis match has same issue when the top 8 players will play the ATP master. They will use round robin format for the group matches, and the final two matches of each group will be played in the same time.
So, i just wondering why the Snooker will arrange the schedule like this? where is the fair play spirit?
