actually, ding didn't play too bad, andrew norman played very well to beat him 3-2 after leading 2-0, and maguire made two centuries, but only managed a 3-2 win over ding...
perry is ding's favorite guy, hopefully he'll win easily, but you never know...
i was hoping he could beat mark allen more convincingly...

Although it is perfectly true that we are speculating and may indeed be talking rubbish.......i will still add to the speculation and say that Higgins may have been trying a whole lot harder to win that match, if the tables had been reversed and he needed a win in order to not have to play Ronnie in the next round.

Although Higgins has proved many times he can beat Ronnie, he would surely prefer not to have to face him if he could possibly avoid it.
