He may be a very good player but he is up himself and thinks he is the spokesperson for snooker. Also he has had so much luck in his draws especially when he seems to always have to play Steve Davis and Andy Hicks. Also the fact he got to turn pro at 14 because his dad is on the WPBSA board without winning an event to get onto the tour whereas Michael White won the World Grand Prix, which gives the winner a place on the tour, isn't allowed to.

Now, now, Mr Alex. We've been through this before.

He joined the professional game at 15, not 14, and was only allowed to because the season started on the last day of July and he didn't turn 16 until August 10th or whenever his birthday is.

Whereas Michael White is still of compulsory school age.

Well according to a BBC quiz the answer to his age was 14. But I wont argue with you on that one as I am sure you are right

I think he was allowed to play on the sort of feeder tour that happened at that time, for the following season, which no longer takes place.

                  • Stephen Hendry interview:

"That's probably the best I've played all week and I've lost. But the damage was done in my first three matches. I was rubbish in all three of them, so you get what you deserve. It doesn't matter how many frames you're playing, I played poorly so I deserve to be out really. If you don't perform you don't deserve the luck. Generally this week I've played badly and I haven't had the run of the balls, but you don't get it when you play badly. It's a Catch 22 unfortunately, if you play well you get the run. I would have a moan at the tables if I had have won or lost the other day. It's totally down to me. There's nothing wrong with the format, I think it's good for game. It's exciting for snooker. Perhaps the only thing we could maybe do is play the whole thing in less time than we have done"

                    • I believe these are the players left in the tournament and it may be less as I do not have the will to tackle group two in detail

                      • so many words about higgins, but ROS said the same when he came off yesterday afternoon

might not be his exact words, but similar to:-

i already knew i was through, so had no pressure, and i like marco, so would have liked to see him go through.

not that anyone has suggested ROS played well below par to let MF win, but at least ROS pointed out the "flaws"

Well that does hardly lift the burden off WSA - or Higgins.

                            • If Murphy loses to Carter, he is out. They will have both won 3 matches. If Ryan Day wins he will have won 4 matches. If Day loses it becomes very complicated!

                              • In the Ding - Perry match, Ding needs to win 3-0 to qualify. Perry just needs the one frame to go through. It think this format is quite different. Small finals as it were.
