  • He played well but I think that it was more the fact John had some awful luck at the start and then played absolutely awfully that made Mark win.

His pot success was under 80% at 1 point!

      • McManus goes through after an almighty struggle against Ian McCulloch, 5-3. I reckon hes got to have had the most luck in this tournament than anyone else tbh. From his play throughout this tournament especially tonight he is probably the least deseving of all the semi finalists to get there.

          • Well done Mark. Well done. Now calm down a bit. Line the shot up properly, don't rush it...who knows? But well done. Oh and the white is supposed to stay *on* the table..

                            totally disagree

hes did well enough to get out his group (talk of higgins throwing him a favour are ridiculous. anyone who knows either player would tell you this too)

and hes beat whos in front of him by doing his best on the day in each match

hes not played great, but its not his fault his opponents havent either.

and i dont think hes been more lucky than anyone else

                            • I hope we wont have a final McManus - King. Would be a total anti climax being a good tournament up till now.

if they are in the final ill be interested in watching it.

two good players. both good guys too.

good to see any of the 4 getting to a final as its not a regular occurence for them.

not everyone wants to see players make a break of 293 in one minute
