  • if thats the first time dennis taylor has ever seen THAT shot played then hes hardly watched any snooker except from his own matches

it was only a small swerve, punched into the cloth to grip and slightly screw back. not a hard shot to play at all, although it looks good.

          • Congratulations to Neil Robertson!

Didn't play very well, but he clearly was the better player today. Hope there is more to come from both players in the future.

                        • "That Bloody Blue" - Has anyone got a clip of the blue the WT missed against steve Davis in some final.

                          Thanks Dan.

                          • PTS, i agree. perhaps the reaction isnt always a lot of screwback, but the shot is quite common in 9 ball pool, and in 8 ball too (with a lighter white). ok, it may not be quite so common for snooker, but to say hes never seen a shot "like" that before was unreal. when ken and steve d were discussing it in the studio later on, KEN said hed not seen it played like that, but steve, with his pool knowledge said it wasnt uncommon, but that it wouldnt be seen regular due to the super fine cloth they use compared to club tables etc...and so the reaction was better in this instance than in a lot of other scenarios that the shot be attempted.

dantuck_7, was quite amusing listedn to Willies reaction when he realised hed swore. ill have a search for it later, and if i find it ill post on here unless someone has done so beforehand.

                            • Everytime WT is commentating and a blue in the middle pocket is missed, I switch off the sound.
