Sorry mate, but that's ridiculous IMO.

Ding has for a long time been a bigger talent than the others in his generation.

You can't really say it has been an advantage for him to come from China, maybe now but certanly not in the biginning of his career. Remember, his mum and dad had to sell their house to afford to send their 16-year old son who barely spoke a word of English to the other side of the world to maybe be a pro snooker player.

i think a good point has been made by M-R.

ok, it wont have made all the difference, but i think it will have helped quite a bit.

also ok, as you say, he was already one of if not the best of his generation in a lot of peoples eyes, but i still think M-R has a decent and valid point, although i dont think this and this alone has "made" ding the player he is, or so highly ranked

It'll be interesting to see how he'll play in next week's PL match. He also has a Malta Cup qualifier to play on next Friday too.
