ronnie didnt miss to many pots, but played a lot of loose safety shots
seemed that the majority of ronnies misses or bad safety shots were when he was using "traditional pool" bridges...hmm
ronnie looked to be a bit frustrated with a couple of dodgy cushion bounces early on
robertson was lucky to win one of the frames he won, with a lucky yellow, but ronnie was fortunate to get the frame he won as that was really the only time neil missed an easy ball.
ronnie didnt seem up for it, and the match seemed to slip away quickly from him
now, ill not beat about the bush. i cant stand ronnie. not as a person, as im sure hes a good guy, but as a snooker player i dislike him. that said he is absolutely amazing to watch when playing well, but with all this looped bridge stuff etc, i just wonder if hes more into pool and having fun than being the best
ronnie is very talented and imho should have won sooooo much more. as said, just not my cup of tea, but im sure hes a good guy off the table....
anyway
it was neils day today
ronnie is much better than him, but on the day neil deserved his good victory
I am just trying do decide, how happy to be, as I like both of the players. Pitty, they had to meet in the quarters already. But it is never good to see Ronnie loose.
Thanks for the report Semih.
