I thought Robertson played well, but Ronnie was disapointing today.

Unfortuantely Ronnie is seeming to play to extremes more and more; he is either brilliant and up for it, or pretty poor and cant be arsed. Shame there's often no middle ground with him. Sometimes he could battle on and tough things out a bit more, when things arent going great for him.

I don't understand why people fly out to see a specific player play in a round that is not the first round. Anyone can be beaten. Counting on people to win is silly.

i think its more likely that AM flew over to aberdeen to see the snooker and at the same time was HOPING that (one of) her favourite player (s) was still in the tournament, but if not, still happy to be there, just that seeing ronnie would have been a "bonus"

I'm not referring specifically to this moment. Other times, people have stated disappointment that Ronnie lost earlier than expected and that they got their tickets for nothing.

i never said you were referring specifically to this moment, but thought id inform you or others of what AM had stated was her intention when flying out, as her case had already been mentioned before you posted your "general" post.

Oh. Just discovered this thread. I feel so honoured that you were thinking of me while I was there, in Aberdeen Thank you so much!
Yes, watching Ronnie playing would be a big bonus (as well as other players), but I enjoyed it very much because I saw Robertson, McManus, Cope, King playing very good snooker, and as it was my first live snooker experience I thought it was absolutely fantastic! And thank you about this possibility to remember that again. Makes me smile again (like Semih just a few posts above in this very thread)
