  • Tell me why the WSA cant treat their seeds properly

I note that on viewing the round robin draw again that Stephen Hendry and Graeme Dott were the only two that had to play a top 16 player first. All the rest were played from qualifier to top 16 seed.
This was, as is proved a huge disadvantage for both players as whoever lost their first game was then having to play a few hours later under huge pressure.
I know Dott does not cope with the format well so might not have made much difference to him but to Hendry I feel it was the difference between him qualifying and not.

These are the sort of things that the clots at the WSA HAVE TO SORT OUT. These players have a living to earn with limited tournaments in which to do so. Tournaments must be run fairly to all but I feel that Both Hendry and Dott were once again let down badly by that Association.

I know that if I were in their shoes I would be writing to the WSA in the strongest of terms, not in the way of a bad loser but in the spirit of fairness which is sadly lacking in Bristol.

The format in itself is a joke, with too many dead games and the last 16 should have been a random draw instead of players obviously jockeying for position based on who they wanted to play.
