He did damn well there to win that frame, the colours were awkward positions and he was well behind in the frame..Willie thorne said the chances of him winning the frame was a 1 in 10 chance, but he proved him wrong and It shows you what grit and determination and good temperament the hendo has.
Totally agree with you Marc, he did brilliantly, just didn't do my nerves any good!

Pity I missed that... sounds like a good nail-biting match with a happy end too!
And Robertson's played very poorly too, which is surprising since he won it last year so the format must not be the problem.
I'd say he suffered a bit (lots) under the pressure of defending his first title and I am absolutely sure he'll be back in top form for the next tournament! I am sure it is far far too early to start predicting a serious dip in form.
Both Scottish Stephens made it through, though it looked bad for a while (I'm starting to believe in Sam's dark magik). It would really have been the end for Hendry's tournie participation, had he lost to Hawkins. It was on telly? I was asleep
I guess this will be the start of slipping down the rankings for Steve. Nothing to be ashamed off. I has to happen sooner or later. Stevens is in deep crisis along with Ding. Robertson has to produce something in NI or Telford otherwise it will be a struggle although I think he will recover. We all have bad spells once in a while. Joe Swail and Joe Perry? What a surprise. Well done lads!
