Well, Davis managed to win anyway so he's still in with a shout. Still quite exciting watching it all on live scoring - in a different way to watching on TV as you don't have a clue what's happening on the table. Was just thinking that it was on the first day of the same tournament ten years ago that Dale beat Davis in a match that I felt at the time was Davis's worst ever performance and the beginning of the end of his career. Ten years later and he's still going strong - how could I ever doubt him.

Ding lost both his matches 4:1 today...
After his recent win against O'Sullivan in the PL I thought he was back on track, didn't really seem so today.

Ding is to be questioned - is he just one of "the so much" trying to reach the abolute top ; he seems a little overrated right now...well he always was wasn' t he ?
I saw that going differently in my mind

I'm starting to think he's 'doing a Maguire' now. Won a couple of tournaments, rose (too?) fast, was praised too highly and then - nothing. It must really be most frustrating to be in his shoes now and despite being no fan of his style of play, wish him the best of luck.

Glad to see that others have coherently formed opinions on Mark William's waistcoat and that I'm not a complete addict, but worried about the 'yet' you slapped onto the end of the sentence

And I thought he got a nice group to boost his confidence.

Its the final nail in his coffin, if he does not qualify for the next round. Never thought he would be a fluke!

            where is that weirdo btw?

ding has got a coach now, but don't know if he made it to the UK yet, maybe still in the process of obtaining a visa... poor performance today, but at least he didn't give up that easily as he's been doing since the masters.

i really think this time it's gonna be ronnie, he seems to finally get his attitude back, and clearly is on form, the other on form player should be hendry after his performace in the PL. btw, does anyone know which matches are assigned to the tv tables for tomorrow? i know one of those must be ronnie's...

Huh? He's 'importing' a coach from China to the UK? Why would he want to do that?

maybe due to the difficulties of communicating with one from the UK...

As a rule of thumb Ronnie will always get a tv table, as defending champion Robertson will get one too. Otherwise it'll just be on a biggest name basis.

By now he should be able to speak English.... Didn't somebody on this board say once that his English wasn't too bad, but he was too shy to use it?
I guess what Ding needs most at the moment is mental coaching and for that it might be easier to have somebody who speaks your mother tongue.

                              Stuart Bingham v Ben Woollaston

I'd absolutely love to see Ebdon v Stevens, but I'm going to take a wild guess and say that I most probably won't be able to, whether it is shown on telly or not. Frustrating times for snooker eejits. Neil Robertson v Joe Perry could prove to be a good match too, I understand they play each other a lot in practice.
