  • Going to miss 1h15m of snooker today due to tennis... lame.

    • Agree there, not always have to be the blinding obvious, though I am not aware of the standard of play. did not have time to watch a lot.

      • The draw once again opens up for Perry just like 2004. Come on Perry please make it through and set up a dream final against Joe Swail.

Maguire only has himself to blame. Lost all his momentum against Hawkins whereas Song was on a streak. Surprised it wasn't on the TV table though.

        • think ill be wanting Fu to win as both my favs are out now.

great guy, and very good solid player over the last decade. maybe not consistent top 16 "material", but hes good enough on his day to beat them all.

          Mon the Marco

Surely for the weather and the food.

I'm not going to write who I'll be supporting now. In Shanghai they fell quickly, one by one, as I went through my list of most favourite players, so this time I'll pretend I don't care.

Too bad the telly has to choose between the ROS/Swail and the Ebdon/Murf match, I'd like to see both, but the lower half doesn't really tickle my fancy at all. Sure, I'll watch, but it is really most disappointing. Perry, Greene, Liu and Fu? Gwakh!, as I'm sure Donald Duck would've said.

              • Ros/Swail will be on telly ..most likely , unfortunately ES transmission starts at 5pm so i'll have to find a way to see it online somewhere.

I am not eager to watch Perry/Greene match either , but Liu/Fu should be interesting , tho... most probably they'll pick the Perry/Green one for the telly.

There's also a folk festival opening in Aberdeen today, with workshops on folky things. Why not take up the tinwhistle? I'm sure it can be put to effective use during matches. (Plus, it's a lot cheaper than the bagpipes, though they might be even more effective in destroying concentration.)

(I'd actually love to attend the workshop on singing techniques.)

                      • Funny how we all say we're sick of only being able to watch the same old top 16 players on TV and we'd love to see more players cause after all it's snooker we love
and when anyone than our fav (top 16) is playing we end up with sth like

                            Lol..
In reply to Nina's ..well true its snooker we like to watch after all..but its making a big difference when your fav is there playing ..guess ya know that yaself. Once your fav is out not the same anymore as there's no one left to cheer for or bite the nails for...
Besides..all players play same game ..but not the same way , we find some more entertaining , and for a good reson . ...when top 16 are playin..there are more chances to see good quality matches.. Tho Liu and Fu might make a good match too , great to watch even neither of them is in top 16.

That's b*llsh1t and bad quoting on your behalf. You "missed" the sentence previous:

If you are going to quote, do it properly.

I am perfectly content to watch matches with other players than my favourites, but I'd like at least one of them to remain in the tournament.

                              • I didn't mean to insult anyone Maija. I said WE, including myself there. I have made similar comments in the past. I didn't miss the sentence previous to the one I quoted, I can read well.
I am sorry you took it personally, and I resent the personal attack.
