who do you think will win?

predict a high standard of play, or fragmented throughout?

    I'll answer first
I think Fu will win it but it will be a very close match, because Greene is playing good snooker as well.
As for the match i believe it will be a long one with many breaks under 50 and a few over that number.
But it should be a tense game between them.

On paper I think Fu has the slight upperhand having reached the latter stages of tournaments on a couple of occasions. That being said, it's just impossible to draw a winner in these short matches. It can go either way.

I'm hoping for a slow, defensive, late-night-finish kind of match. It would be a good contrast to the high-flying, quick-break-buildning match of this afternoon.

think Marco will win 6-3 or 6-4, with 3 centuries in the match, and a couple of "negative frames"

As I have said on another thread both players from each have come through each knockout round, if that makes sense. In round of 16 both players from Group A, Group B, Group C and Group D won, in the quarters both players from Group B and Group D won therefore as a player from Group B won today the other player, Gerard Greene should win.

I'm going to go for a very close game. Greene will have chances towards the end of the match (say 4-4) but the occasion might get to him.

Marco has been in these situations a few times before and will have to keep it tight and not give greene any easy chances. I reckon Marco Fu will win it 6-4.

I'm still wondering whether the match really is set to start at 18.20?

It is a strange start time. But the match is underway.

greene leads 45-25 and is at the table (14 break)

4 reds left, but theyre not best positioned

EDIT-they werent best positioned, but hes won the frame at that visit

                          2-1 to greene now.

the match looks like it could pick up here, although it hasnt been boring.

greene has potted a few superb balls already, but the table layouts havent been great so far

I couldn't believe that they have wrestling as well.
God, that must be distracting for the players! I was wondering what the hell that slow drumming was.
