While ol' Davis won 5-4 against Tom Ford. Good to see he can still perform under pressure.

It´s the old mens day. Steve Davis got over the line 5-4. Tom Ford more and more looks like a player who doesn´t fullfill his potentials.

After 15 years in the top flight KD is very new to Pontins, looks like it will take him a while to adapt to the conditions, just like it did for Jimmy.

I know KD has now lost his first match in 2 out of 3 qualification tournamensts there, not sure what happened in the other.

Thats good news..Mon Mark! AS for Kendos whitewash...im speechless.

Took a look at the GP draw posted by Monique in the other thread... im not to enthusiast, i think i prefer the Round Robin format. But cant know for sure until i "experience" the new one as well.
BTW..why are they changing the format that often..its been only 2 seasons since they introduced the Round robin?!

Surely because it has received negative feedback?

Why negative ? It made a change 1 different format among so many alike. Fcourse not all changes are good but cant see why this one wasnt- me speakin from the spectator's perspective..Maybe from players perspective things arent that bright, i remember few of them criticized it. Dott was one of them if im not wrong.

Or very down to earth: round robins take more time than knock-out stages, so they have to rent the venues for longer and it's probably more costly! Look for the obvious

I personally prefer longer matches and I think the random draw can bring some excitement to the tournament.

Meanwhile Simon Bedford made a break of 40, needing one frame only but seems Mark is on a 67 run and we're on for a decider apparently.

                      M. Holt 4-2 M. Judge

Hamilton finishes in style. 121 to go 4 - 4, and at least 96 in the last frame.:snooker:
