as much as I hate it, I guess you are right. He's got it, he can play, but he shows it to rarely. And he's dreadful when it comes to playing safe, he says it himself (quote: "If you like to watch a good safety play, don't watch me"). Really hope he sooner or later starts to pull himself together, because when he found his game, it's great to watch him.

Anyway, go Ricky! Well done, eventhough I'd loved to have Joe Swail through, too. Can't have it all I guess.

And I'm highly disappointed Mark Williams is out. Not excactly my day (says the girl with the enormous hangover ^^)

I wonder if the match Doherty 0 - 5 Parrott will be investigated too.

The other was the NIT where the top 32 go straight through to the venue. He won his first match there and then lost narrowly to Ronnie, so I'd have to agree it looks like Pontins that's troubling him. Only won one frame in two matches so far.

Got to give credit to ol' Parrott though, 5-0 is a great result against a man who's been whitewashed only a handful of times in his career, whatever the conditions.

The fact Wenbo is about to whitewash Nigel Bond will surely help to clarify the case concerning the Peter Ebdon match.

Poor Nigel scored 46 points in total while Wenbo had breaks of 59, 74, 78, 78, 67 and 109, so six half centuries in 5 frames!

It's also interesting to see that Wenbo plays very well against great tactical/safety players like Bond or Ebdon.

its not the result in itself that the bookies are investigating, its the fact that lots of large bets were placed on what they considered to be an unlikely outcome.

On the WSA website it say's that Vinnie Muldoon will play Adrian Gunnell, but on the live scoring it is Stuart Bingham who is playing Gunnell. Did I miss something.

i noticed straight after the interval when it was 2 v 2 global snooker centre immediately changed the score to 5 v 2 to gilbert did stevens concede that match for some reason

                          any ideas ?

                            no i don't think so. at globalsnookercentre are the frame scores: Matthew Stevens 2-5 David Gilbert 57-25, 84(59)-4, 4-101(84), 61(53)-69, 4-122(114), 14-91(90), 0-97(97)

it seems that gilbert just played really quick after the intervall
