nope not lucky at all ella

cope won 5-1...Maguire had his best chance leading by 35 points, he missed the frame-ball last red along the top cushion. Cope, cleared the balls to force a re-spotted black. Then next frame after a couple of safety shots, mags took on a difficult cut to the green pocket and left it in the jaws of the pocker which allowed jamie Cope to go to the mis sessino interval at 4-0 up.
After the teabreak Cope opened frame five with a run of 22 but a loose positional shot left him with a tricky red. He didn't make it and Maguire got on the board with a break of 66 to win the frame. Mags in the next frame had chances but his miserable afternoon was completed when he missed a difficult green to a middle pocket and Cope cleared to the pink to win the match!

        • A funny fluke from Bedford. A shame for Ebdon after a great snooker.

          • Does anyone else think Bedford's mannerisms around the table are like Joe Swail's?

                • So, Ding has won. Good for him.
His opponent is from the local area, isn't him?
He made a 148 or something like that with a free ball a while back, right?

I do remember they said that the referee was a local man, probably apart of the local referee's association in Scotland!!

While we are on the subject don't you all think Michael Holt is looking alot more relaxed around the table, whatever it is that he is doing I hope he keeps it up, his safety play is a hell of alot better too.
the snooker ref on tsf that someone requests the name of is Leo Scullion

                    • Ding is on his way to win
You play a long slow deadweight red to a corner pocket. As it approaches the pocket, a kamikaze woodlouse crawls out from under the cushion and makes its way across the table, conflicting with the path of the red precisely at the point the red gets there. The red, needless to say, veers off course, and the future of the woodlouse is uncertain. - The Statman

                        • maybe a rather stupid question from someone who doesn´t play (hence doesn´t know the mental strength you need): Last week, Ding got beaten 6-0 by Ronnie, yesterday he won 5-0. is it a PL thing (maybe he doesn´t take it "serious") or an opponent thing ("scared" of Ronnie but not of Burnett)?

                              • The signs are not good for Ronnie. He seems to be way out with some of his shots, and looks completely disinterested already.
