Hendry will have 2 opponants this afternoon, John and himself.

Heart, Hendry, Head Higgins. Wish I could organise a game of football and stick John in goal.

Hendry COULD win it but more likely he will be lamb to the slaughter

it's so ugly to attack someone like vulture prey.
And because in the past this was impossible now it's the time to do it !

Hendry can't be written off. They will be fully motivated being the two best scotish players of all times playing in the heart of Scotland. This will be something like Rangers-Celtic derby, allways difficult to predict besides the position of the teams on the table.

I think Higgins will win it, but he has also not been in great form for the last year (aside from the odd match here and there). Stephen unfortunately has been very poor this season, but perhaps this type of match will fire him up and we'll see flashes of the old (or should that be young) maestro.

Stephen Hendry and John Higgins are meeting for the 33rd time today.

Hendry has won 16 times, Higgins 14 with two draws in the Premier League.

Why does he count the Premier League matches? Might as well count exhibitions.

its a closer match than many think bacause John does miss some easy balls at times and really over the last year Hendry has had a better Ranking Tournaments Results with 2 semi finals to john higgins 1.....

so people arent looking at it in terms of form but on how brilliant hendry was in the 90s and the expectations people had on him to be brilliant all the time.

A few years ago this kind of rivalary would be classed as a kind of 'Battle Royal' between two greats! Higgins did look pretty impressive in his first match where as Stephen Hendry wasn't quite so convincing with his win. I have predicted a 5-2 win for John Higgins but i would like to see Hendry really raise his game and give Higgins a tough time of it! I hope like many others that we will be treated to a match to remember!
