  • Cope has won 5-4 with a 68 break in the final frame.

    Edit: or maybe not...?

Edit2: I want to watch this!! Ebdon is crawling back. Anybody watching tell me what is going on? Is Ebdon chasing snookers or what?

      Thanks Darrus... good news!
I did catch a couple of frames of that Ebdon-Cope match.
Neither brought out the best in each other I'd say.

Jamie fluked a full ball snooker and Ebbo started going mental, he collapsed on the floor and had a lie down lol. It was pretty unproffesional.

When I saw that description, the first thing I thought of, was the rather hotheaded American poker star Phil Hellmuth.

                  • It's been a while since we've witnessed Peter Ebdon's emotion.

I hope this moment was captured on video for posterity so that I get to witness it.

Maybe that's what O'Sullivan meant when he said people might think he was pulling "an Ebdon"* ?

                          • Cyborg shows feelings

Yeah, Cope and the commentators thought he was through in the final frame. Ebdon carried on, needing just two snookers. He got them (one was a very easy escape but Cope missed), and a further snooker after Ebdon put him back because the free ball on the black was too hard a pot. In the end, Ebdon could have won by 6 points if he potted all the colours. Cope got an outrageous snooker himself when the yellow was near the middle pocket with the blue blocking its path. That's when the Cyborg malfunctioned, collapsing on the floor. He missed the escape and Cope won from there. If the white finished virtually anywhere else, then he could have potted the yellow but it was a full ball snooker behind the blue

                              • I thought it was very funny. I don't know why everyone here is so hardup against it saying it's unprofessional. I mean, if Selby can do it (which he did against Higgins, in the World Champions I think), so can Ebdon. Fair enough, Ebdon took it a little bit further but that's what's good about Snooker - it's good to witness the funny side of things.

If snooker was strict, it wouldn't be as fun to watch.
