Complete rubbish here, Stephen has been struggling but to call his game really bad is way ott. I have thought for the last few years that he should try to play more like Ken Doherty although I was surprised to see him drop out the top 16, I have no doubt that Ken will be back though.

So let's check the last 6 seasons of Stephen:

2001/2002: Won the Malta cup and reached the final of the World Championship.

2002/2003: Won the Welsh open and reached the final of the Masters and the Malta Cup.

2003/2004: Won the British Open and reached the final of the UK Championship.

2004/2005: Won the Malta Cup and the Premier League. Reached the final of the Welsh and China Open.

2005/2006: Reached the final of the Northen Ireland Trophy.

2006/2007: Reached the final of the UK Championship. Regained the number one spot in the rankings.

2007/2008: The only highlight of this season was the semi final of the World Championship and set himself on the 6th place of the world rankings.

So yeah, not too bad for someone whose "game is really bad for many years"..

he needs to accept that age has done him over and learn to adapt as Davis did
youre deleuded with this standards ****...........standard of play today across the board is crap thats why ronnie has it so easy.........

Ronnie himself said that live on TV.......

Stephen Maguire World No 2 what the hell is that all about he couldnt be in the top 8 playing like that in the 90s.....Shaun Murphy World No 3 Yes Another 1 that hasent got a good Enough Game in the 90s.....

I was quite shocked by a couple of recent interviews by Hendry. I can't remember the exact quote (always dangerous) but referring to the WC and his semi-final loss against ROS he said something along the lines of 'Ronnie was there for the taking'. Clearly not the case!

Also after the Higgins match yesterday he suggested he should have won the match. I'll track down this interview. Its pretty much delusional.

He's right about Higgins though, John looked poor for the first few frames as well and if Hendry was in any sort of form he could well have won that match. Nothing delusional about what he said.

A lot of praise here for ROS after that semi too.

I read that he said yesterday that "John [Higgins) was there for the taking". Maybe you've mixed up something, I find it unlikely that he would say that about Ronnie!

                  re handry

he hasnt been the same player since he changed his cue . The one he plays with now looks about 9mm, and its shaft is thin , his old one looked 9.75 , His long potting has gone , and i bet that does not help , id also bet he is using a cue that his coach recommends .!

He hasnt been the same player since the modern wanks snapped his cue at the airport.

Wild, Ronnie hasnt found it easy, in fact he has found it hard, but by extreme bravery and weakness from his opponant he has come through, and unless I miss my guess this
extremely brilliant and vulnerable man knows the score.
Davis and Parrot think he can win another 4 worlds, but if you listened to them and you went to the bookies every time he played you would be skint. I know because I did for a while, and in my humble opinion he was a better player then.

sure I am wild....explains why Hendry is struggling so much but Davis has survived a lot better doesn't it

                          Sigh.

                            Everybody ATTENTION

this here is the BIGGEST excuse on the internet for Hendry.

                            The CUE argument.

                            Just stop this bull**** please

Ronnie gave away his cue and picked off his nib multiple times and is still an amazing player,

If Hendry's skill was all down to a cue, what kind of player was he?

                            Did Merlin bless it?

Come off it! The cue has NOWT to do with it. And if you say "it is psychological" then obviously Hendry wasn't as strong willed as you make us believe.

(btw personally I think the cue argument is no good and that the said arguments for his slide are to blame, not a piece of wood)

Fist, Hendry carries the burden of huge achievement, its a heavy load, silverware scattered throughout his house, and an army of help just to clean it. Its said, Ronnie takes 5 minutes and 20 seconds to clean his.
