Hendry does not need to compete for the money, he is doing it because he loves it. At least i think that is why.
No Hendry carries on To win tournaments, be World Champion for the 8th time thats his motivation to be a winner...

if he feels he cant win he will retire Today.....Steve Davis plays on because he loves it.... Hendry Doesent Enjoy watching other players win tournaments and he doesent...

persanally i think hes in denial...his forms not there to challange at the moment but we will see...

    • I remember him nitpicking his performance for goodness when he beat Bond convincingly after all. It was hardly disgraceful perfomance for him to do that. You'd have thought Hendry lost 9 matches rather than Bond proving being unable to live with Hendry for the whole duration of the best of 35 frames contest which is the real truth.

There was no pattern at any point of the match that suggested that Bond should have been well beaten by the middle of the afternoon.

No way in the world was Ebdon there for the taking session to spare in the 1996 world final either.

Bond winning 9 frames and Ebdon winning 12 frames was certainly not far more frames than Hendry should have dropped against him. No way can anybody in the right mind really say Hendry should have done a helluva lot better both 1995 and 1996 world finals, because he won them as convincingly as you could have asked of him.

i didn't sit there watching the 2006 final Ebdon-Dott final thinking, how on earth did Ebdon even take 12 frames off Hendry 1st time around. If Dott took 13 frames off prime Hendry in 2006 world fimal e.g. you could not class it as complacency and recklessness from Hendry.

Does Hendry really need to be constantly winnng by the big margins of his mid 1990's prime to be in any good form at all?
