  • Grand Prix - Quarter-finals discussion

    Terrific draw!!

    Judd Trump v Ronnie O'Sullivan
    Ding Junhui v John Higgins
    Selby/Day v Jamie Cope
    Steve Davis v Carter/Parrott

We will have to await the order of play for the matches - but I'd say they will put Ronnie in the evening and Higgins in the afternoon as the main matches.

Alright, the order of play has been determined. It actually turned out the other way around:

    Ronnie O'Sullivan v Judd Trump
    Steve Davis v Ali Carter

    19.00 BST
    John Higgins v Ding Junhui
    Ryan Day v Jamie Cope

I think it will be a walk over for Ronnie, if he plays to the standard he has shown most of the year.

If Day can play to the standard from yesterday, I don´t think Cope will have much to do, as his safety game is too weak and he takes too many crazy shots on.

It's a bit of a pity that Higgins and Ding have to face each other at this stage. Both need the ranking points especially as they both will miss the Bahrain event.

Interesting, I was going to say that the evening matches are tough to call, but the afternoon matches will be easy wins for Steve and Judd

Trump to get whitewashed I feel.

I think in the finals we'll see Day and O'Sullivan but Day will turn out the winner (as long as they don't get drawn with each other in the Semis)

Interesting matches, and I don't think you can predict a winner in either of them. Although I hope for a good result from Ronnie

Ellena, they and also Selby are to miss Bahrain because of Premier League.

                              There's tennis on ES, so...
