It would be nice if he could. I really enjoy his sense of humour and I think he is very likeable.

Judd is only 19 and maybe emotions got him. Lets not forget he was playing Ronnie and this was his first quarter in a ranking event, and in the end that is a great result for him and it really doesnt matter how Ronnie played....Judd played better and won."There has only ever been Alex Higgins, myself and now Ronnie O'sullivan who play the game the way it should be played with such excitement - I know the fans love it this way" - Jimmy White

Well Judd has practiced with Ronnie a fair bit so I guess Ronnie knows what he's capable of. The game reminded me a bit of Hendry vs Higgins in that both players showed too much respect for each other and maybe was the reason the standard was pretty poor. I would never really call into question a players efforts though, I don't think Ronnie has anything to gain by letting Judd win and surely wouldn't have bothered to get the match to 4-4 if his intentions were deliberately set out to lose. I can understand people wondering though why Ronnie was so poor today but it shows he is still a very vulnerable player who on his day can struggle as much as anyone.

It was almost like every thing he planned to do, happened. I think he allowed the young `19 year old to win for some reason. Since his "fatherly" performance with the young Chines he seems to be playing different when against a young UP AND COMING star... Its just an opinion but I would be interested in what you avid fans think. I did really only register to ask you all this question so..... ???"There has only ever been Alex Higgins, myself and now Ronnie O'sullivan who play the game the way it should be played with such excitement - I know the fans love it this way" - Jimmy White

Ronnie O'Sullivan playing like all of us!

Just a word about Davis too, shame to see him lose out on a fluke in his match against Carter. He didn't look to happy at the end, not surprising really, Carter was there for the taking and who knows what would have happened if he took it to a decider.

Did anybody see the Davis-Carter match? I only followed the live score and it looked like there was some tense safety play going on, so Davis had at least a chance to take it to the decider. Or was it just both players making a lot of mistakes?

I am very pleased Judd won to be honest because now it opens up the draw massively. There is always a chance with Ronnie in his matches he wins easily and its really dull to see a player win 5-1 or 5-0. Also a good final will be guaranteed now O'Sullivan is gone. In finals it is fairly common to see Ronnie just run away with it and a early finish is never something I like to see.
I dont know about you but that win for Trump will really spark him off. Now a possible winner of the tournament.
But even more so. In a way I wouldnt be surprised at all the winner of Higgins vs Ding goes on to win the tournament.
