Ronnie understands where his game is at, this week his attitude has been good, and as he explained himself, he counts himself very lucky to have had the success he has had recently.
Its an age thing, and while his fans seem to think he will go on forever, he wont.
We will see him in the zone from time to time but the older you get the harder it gets.
It doesnt help one bit when you get the comedy duo of Parrot and Davis talking up his game when he knows himself the true situation. The pressure they pile on the guy does not help. He will win again but it wont be often.

Spot on about Old Father Time although I think it's a bit premature, given the fact that Ronnie seems to have matured a lot recently and got to a decent B game.
Makes true fans appreciate masterpieces such as the Williams match in Shanghai even more. And the Hawkins match in Belfast, as well.
Truth be told, it has been a very busy schedule for everyone, with the Shanghai Masters and the League and the GP and the "less young" you get the harder it is to recover, physically.
According to the pattern noticeable of late, after such a match there can only be a decent performance in the League, on Thursday. It better be, because I'm flying across half Europe and facing a 15-hour trip to see it live.
Don't anyone tell Davis/Parrott that or else the pressure on Ronnie will be impossible to bear.S.P.I.L.F.

Gordon Bennett, he has an off week and loses in a ranking event, having previously won a third world championship and the N.I trophy, knocking in a record 147 on the way, then reaches the final of shanghai and jjust loses out to another player and people start writing him off!
Talk about fickle.

Its my kids school open night, so will record and expect great things of you both.
Back to Ronnie, if anyone can buck the trend then he can for sure but its a big ask, for sure he will win tournaments, Higgins just did and Ronnie will, but he is at that timeline where the greats tend to beat themselves.
