  • It's definitely not boring Some mistakes there, but some great shots as well from both players.

    • I'm guessing Parrot needs one snooker looking at live score?

      • Yes, 25 on the table, 26 the difference.

        • And it's all over - shame, I thought Parrott would go further this year - but at least he won one match...

          • Congrats to Mcculloch from coming back from so far behind, but i was hoping Parrott would make it through.

            • I too was hoping Parrot would win, but congratulations to Ian McCulloch! Well played.

                  • God Bless Live Scores. BUT...
If we can't have video I wish we could have web-based snooker radio rather than just a "live score" tabulator.
At least there would be some competent observation, commentary and human ENTHUSIASM!

                    • Good wins for Lawler and Morris, especially as both matches went to a deciding frame..

                      • One thing I'd really like with the livescores is an indication of how many reds are left on the table. Guess it might be hard to implement but it would shed a lot of light on certain situations.

Not so hard to implement. The system used by D. Goran for EBSA does it.

                            • Fair enough then.

It's another small example of where snooker is stuck in the dark ages really. In tennis for example, even for the lesser tournaments, you can load their livescores and see a raft of statistics from the match. The equivalent of snooker having the pot success, safety success, high breaks for players and more on offer really.

Obviously they are different sports but the current livescores system on World Snooker hasn't been improved for as long as I can remember it being there and only provides the bare minimum really.

At the very worst even a page like this for snooker would be interesting for me.
