I think World Snooker should have a plate competition for all those who got knocked out in round one

Would the players want to participate? I wonder. That would be a nice "survey" to do. And would anyone go and watch it?
The Ladies do it but the situation is totally different. The girls can't earn a living at snooker, not even the best. All except maybe the top 4 (and even them, I wonder) do actually pay to play. They do it purely for the love of the game. Mind you the Masters TOTAL prize money was 1000£ and that is a very high amount by their standard.
So the plate makes sure they don't make the effort to just play one match and go home. It also carries a bit of ranking points.
There are also "Junior" and "Senior" side events...
