I fancy Milkins to win tonight. What with his story regarding breast cancer support and the way he has played there seems to be a sense of inevitability about him this week.

Mark Allen against John Higgins could be a cracker with the world semi fresh in their minds.

Mark J. to the semis (I'm afraid I'm not able to watch the match )! Otherwise Allen v Higgins match is definitely a must to watch, I predicted that Allen will prevail. Ding and Ebdon clash could be a close encounter, I think Peter played very well agains Mark Davis, especially towards the end. Hard to pick a winner in that one... Robertson will also advance to semis but Perry will give a good fight before that.

for me these are 4 cracking matches, and all this talk of the fa cup style draw producing a poor final with 2 low ranked players is rubbish.

i can't wait for all of these matches, especially williams milkins which from the way they have played in their opening rounds could be an absolute classic.

also the world championship rematch between allen and higgins should be a very good match.

I'm looking forward to all four matches today but the one that appeals the most would be the Williams/Milkins encounter. Both players style of play should suit each other and this should make for a very exciting match on paper anyway.

I just hope Williams can put yesterday's performance behind him and play to the kind of standard as he did in his 1st round match..

Hoping for a good crowd too..

I just can't believe it's possible to play as bad as he did yesterday. Quite opposite, I think he'll be great

I tend to be optimistic today for some reason...

robbo vs williams would be a fantastic battle of single ball potting.

I should be loyal and watch the robbo match but i think the Higgins Allen match has potential to be a thriller, might have to try stream both at the same time

                        John Higgins v. Mark Allen:

John Higgins for me. If Allen was in great form and Higgins was decent, this would be difficult to call. But since it's the other way around... OK, Higgins missed a couple against O'Sullivan, but he made a couple of great breaks and played solid safety throughout the match. He should also have the crowd behind him. I think he'll have too much for Allen.

                        Neil Robertson v. Joe Perry:

I didn't see much of Perry, but Robertson is potting and scoring well. He also has a very good record in the latter stages of tournaments. I suspect Perry will need to play very well to take him out. Robertson for me.

                        Ding Junhui v. Peter Ebdon:

Ebdon played well towards the end of his match against Davis. That kind of scoring was what Maguire needed against Ding, so this one should be pretty well matched. But I think Ding is favourite here. He knows Ebdon very well, and has beaten him before, and quite convincingly as well.

                        Mark Williams v. Robert Milkins:

I make Williams a strong favourite. I know Milkins has been playing well, but he has had these kind of performances in the past, and it was usually not enough for the SF. Also, the last time they played Williams trashed him 10-1. I can see him getting a bit demoralised if he goes a couple of frames down. And if it goes close, I see Williams winning as well. But you never know, Milkins might play brilliantly and win convincingly.

Anyway, all four matches look very interesting, but my preferences are Higgins-Allen and Ding-Ebdon.
