Only the second time which I am surprised at given the amount of Canadians, Aussies and South Africans in the 70's and 80's.

Robertson has only played players from outside the top 16 in all his finals before today so he has been used to being the favourite at the business end.

Ding has learned how to win frames when not playing at a superb level.. Very important for him..

Yeah, Ding has never looked like giving up in this tournament, even when he was two frames down. The attitude is there, but the form is with Robertson I think.

Still, of all this new breed of players, only Ding is good enough and young enough to become an all-time great, although we didn't see the best out of Trump and his generation..

Robertson could have made it 3-0, but he will be ok with his start to the match. By the way, a great safety by Ding, good escape by Robbo..

A veryoptimistic plant attempt from Robertson, but he gets away with it..

The winner today will be in joint second place with Stephen Lee and Stephen Maguire as the most successful player never to win the world title.

Ding should make it 2-2 all from here..

With Ding currently enjoying his best run in a ranking tournament for 3 years, I wonder if TSF will now see the return of the legendary Mugello

What was the 4th frame like? I had to catch the ending of Paris - Tours.

Let me guess the leader.. Jimmy "The Whirlwind" White

By the way, did you see Ding's shot on the final blue?? He nearly potted it and if he did, it would be one of the best I've ever seen..

It would be good to see Stephen Lee winning the world title.. He has such a natural cue action that you are left to think he has underachieved..

All square now, this may be a very close match. Good to see that Ding is able to rise his standard. He hasn't been that spectacular earlier in this tournament.
