Alfie Burden looks to be on fire today, he went 1-0 down and by my reckoning as just made it 3-1 with breaks of 81, 43 and 131!

Surprising result from Issara's match. Especially being 4-0 up

I saw him at grand prix, and he did rather well. It's a funny game eh.

If A player qualifies for Malta the association pay his travel and hotel for the duration of his run in tournament.

Is that so? I didn't know that. Well, Lee Spick doesn't have to sell his colour TV then
Is this the case only for qualifiers, or also for the top 16 players, who automatically are qualified? And is this only for overseas tournaments, or for all of them?

I notice Roy Stolk is keeping his excellent run of form going...

Regarding Dene O'Kane, I assume that now he's played the Malta Cup, will he be given starter points? The World Snooker rankings have him right at the bottom with zero.

Good to see Paul Wykes get a win under his belt as well - considering where he's ranked, he needs it.

Only applies to Overseas tournaments and applies to All players, top 16 included.

                    Wenbo qualifys again
You play a long slow deadweight red to a corner pocket. As it approaches the pocket, a kamikaze woodlouse crawls out from under the cushion and makes its way across the table, conflicting with the path of the red precisely at the point the red gets there. The red, needless to say, veers off course, and the future of the woodlouse is uncertain. - The Statman

he still has 3 matches to play in qualification... good opponents there (Ryan Day), and a wildcard round possibly too.

If he finishes off Pettmen then Pengfei vs Cope could potentially be an abnormally high quality match for a last 64 match.

Looks very likely to be, unless Pettman can finish Lee Spick style
