I've noticed that too, only very rarely do we get replays. I can't think of why, as they are perfectly capable of it, seeing as for instance Ken's black (that one, you know which one I mean!) was shown in replay. I also miss the statistical info that we've been spoiled with in the previous tournaments. I think I might actually have to find my old calculator...
Das war ein FLUKE! Ein Glückstreffer!

    • Let s say you are not old Hege...(just joking) - I' m watching Eurosport those days as BBC is not showing it but I always prefer the BBC coverage by miles...
I saw that going differently in my mind

      • No doubt BBC has a much bigger budget than Eurosport. Eurosport's coverage is very basic.

Wim, do you get BBC in Belgium?

        • Yes we do cap - BBC 1 and 2, in general it is still seen here as a very high standard for a lot of programs, espcially sport (football)

The only good thing about Eurosport is that they use some camera angles that are different to, possibly better than, the camera angles the bbc use to film the table.

            • The only thing I don't miss about the BBC coverage, are the messages saying "Hendry needs two more frames to win" etc

              • The swedish commentator said that Stephen Lee played "the guy that's not on your christmas card list"...

Day makes a clearance of 71 to steal the frame and takes the lead 3-1 at the interval.

                • Stephens managed to bring the score to 2 -3 against Day, so there's still hope
meanwhile Dott is about to lead Ford 3 - 2
and the guy who is not on our Christmas card list is losing to Lee 1 - 3.

                        • Updates...

Day beat Stevens 5-3. Stevens made a few more errors than he did in the last comp, and Day played well enough for a deserving win.

Its 3-3 with Murphy and Lee, but Lee is looking good to take frame 7

                          Dott beat Ford 5-3

                          • Well done Ryan! I like his style of play. I rate him as a player who could win a major ranking tournament. He has got it to go one step further.

And Stevens? he seems to join the Mark Williams league! Pity those 2 players have lost the plot.

                            • id certainly say that IMHO Stevens is lacking confidence. his technique doesnt look too bad at all and he seems relaxed enough.

he seems to play better when under more pressure. perhaps when adrenalin kicks in when looking like losing, taking over from the lack of confidence.

Williams is another story....how someone so good (as he was better than Stevens, even when they both were at their best) can play so inconsistently, and rarely show good form is confudling

                              • Indeed. I also wondered why Williams has never come near to his best form again. Could it be a lack of interest, not fully committed to the sport anymore?
