Great comeback of both players, but a shame they should meet each other so early.....its not called potting its called snooker. Quote: WildJONESEYE

Well done, Maguire, for potting that blue. And pink, too!
I would never have imagined a decider when Maguire was leading 4-1.
And...one for Alex, fan of eerie coincidences and patterns: remember the black match ball that Maguire missed when leading 9-7 in the first-round match at Sheffield in 2005? He was ahead 65-35 and black was on its spot. He missed it. Ronnie won the decider.
I think they're even now.
And Ronnie can only has himself to blame for that miss. And for all the others in this match.
Paul...the cycle has broken. Let us find a new one.S.P.I.L.F.

Well i suppose it gives everyone else a chance now Ronnie is out.
Surprising miss on that blue, after he'd done all the hard work, and played a good positional shot to get quite nicely on it. After all that and just needing a couple of simple shots he seemed to twitch on it. I Can't think of any time i've ever seen him miss a crucial 'crunch ball' like that before.
Though i have seen him win plenty of times when his opponents have done just that.Last edited by dannyd0g; 13 January 2008, 08:32 PM."You can shove your snooker up your jacksie 'cos I aint playing no more!" Alex Higgins.

Unfortunately I am not at the semis to stop him for a sig. (The 2 previous tournaments I stopped him for a sig at the semis and he went on to the final).
