snooker life would be dead boring if we all had the same favourites my best friend loves ronnie, I fancy selby... now start comparing styles and imagine our heated discussions every now and then ^^

one of the things I like about snooker is, that there are so many different ways to take on the game. for me it adds up a lot to the fascination it already has.

      • seriously, I really desperately want selby to win, but stephen is so unlucky... wish he would atleast be able to play two or three more decent frames. to add up to the quality of the match and for him personally. he played well all week, he doesn't deserve to finnish the tournament like that.

            • So, we have a new Master of London... Well done, Mark, congratulations! And what a nice break to end this match... well deserved victory!

              • Another crap final. Unlucky Stephen Lee. Selby is the first player since Stevens to win the Masters before a ranking title.

                • What a session. Great job by Mark, even if Stephen was acting very unlucky.

                  • I wanted to see a competitive Match but eveything seemed to be going against Lee. Fair play to Selby though with 4 centuries. Congratulations Mark

                    • If you can only do a high break of 41 in 13 frames you shouldn't be in a Masters final at all...

                      • Yeah, Stephen was really unlucky tonight, but he was brave enough to smile in the end... hope he will do better next time!

Why? A break in one match has no bearing on other results

                          • I missed most of the final due to work so I didn't get to see much of Lee on the table, but Selby did very well. I'm delighted he won, I expect him to achieve even more in the future.

On a side note, seeing him receive the trophy reminded me of another promising young player who lifted it three times but is no longer with us. Inevitable at the Masters I guess...

                            • Same scoreline as last year, after both sessions.
Same thing, one player isn't there and the other takes full advantage of it, gets on a roll and finishes in style; that HB was a great one from Selby.
                              Oh, well...
                              Masters over.
And a "kind" word to the ultimate twits from either the BBC or the Eurosport responsible for ruining the tradition of showing the last frame of the previous final during the last interval: Go find another use for the spider, the hook rest, the triangle and all the 22 balls.
                              On yourselves.
                              Well done, Mark.
                              Just wasn't Stephen's day.

I wasn't talking about other results. I was talking about the expected level of play in a Masters final by both finalists.
