  • FAO those attending the Masters

After the sickening treatment of Clive Everton, it got me thinking if we could send out a message at the Masters.

How about some wear t-shirts with 'Bring back Clive' or something along those lines so that our voice is heard.

I don't know if banners/posters are allowed in, but that could also be another option. My enjoyment of the coverage this week has been dampened by not hearing the extremely knowledgable and inciteful voice of the great man. I have nothing against Ken Doherty but he is not in the same league as Clive when it comes to commentary.I know there is a time for all greats to step aside but i, along with many, feel that Clive's time is not up yet. The fact that he has been replaced by Ken, who is still playing, and thinks he can win tournaments, makes the decison even worse.

Maybe a protest outside the arena could also be arranged?

That is a fantastic idea. I may head up on thrusday or friday and would definatly be up for a protest. A t-shirt would be great especially on a front row where the camera will keep picking it up maybe sparking a response in the com box

I totally agree 100% with all your points, for me clive everton is the individual i associate with snooker and love to listen to his statistical insights into the game.

It is an absolute disgrace, and could be a implication the way snooker could be going on the downhill.

If anyone was willing to make a "bring back clive" t shirt i would willingly pay.

We as true fans of the beautiful game cannot let a national treasure be swept aside by people who claim to have the game's best interests at heart.

There will never EVER be a legitimate reason for Clive Everton to not be a part of the snooker scene.

I met Clive at the crucible in 2008 and he was such a gentleman and is very good to the fans.

        Please Bring Back Clive!

I might add johnwilliamson007 that there are true fans of the game (Me included) who dont particularly mind everton leaving. The game goes on without him.

If you put TheSnookerForum.com on the T-shirt for all to see and it does get seen on TV then I will refund you the cost of the T-shirts + give you some official TSF ones for your trouble.

I think it is a great idea and lets hope they take notice and Bring Back Clive :snooker:

Can I have a couple of TSF tshirts off you? I go to the uk,masters, worlds and welsh every year and try to get front row every time.

You are certainly in the minority there mate. Clive is the voice of snooker and for those of us who have grown up listening to him, it is an absolute outrage.

I totally agree Im in the minority especially on TSF. I attend more matches than I listen to so maybe thats why I differ from some people. Im just as happy to listen to any other commentator (Apart from Joe Johnson on Eurosport) so for me it isnt such a disgusting decision as it is to other members and I totally respect why they feel the way they do.

Also, as a monthly subscribor to snookerscene for me just reading his views at times is too much.
