The Allen v Selby match was awesome!
Hoping for that kind of class-action in the coming matches may be asking too much.
I am looking forward to the 7pm one... does anyone know how Higgins v Ding matches have gone in the past?

    Thanks.

A very nice match between Selby and Allen with pretty much nearly every frame being enjoyable, I'm looking foward to the John and Ding match.

        Got it!
From BBC commentators... 8 times... 6-2 in favour of Higgins.

          Highly unexpected error from Higgins!

When he had done all the hard work and everything, come back from 72 down, just a simple pink and black left. He must feel absolutely disgusted with himself!

it was the bounce that made the black more difficult but you've still got to expect him to make that.

What a let off for Ding! Never expected John Higgins to miss the black even though it was a little tricky. No doubt another match that looks likely to go the distance.

Yes but it wasn't the cushion that gave a strange bounce, you could see from the moment he hit it that it was too hard.

I think he was so gutted about how bad he had played the previous shot that he didn't take enough time to composure himself and rushed it a bit. Easier said than done, I admit, but you got to expect guys of his calibre to be able to cool themselves down before shooting.

If we see a Ronnie V. Higgins final, you can be rest assured we'd see a high quality match! Ronnie is bound to play his A-game against Higgins, whom he recognizes as the only player who can beat him on his day if both players are on form. I'd like to see that final! Ronnie always performs well when he's up against someone who he knows can take him full on otherwise we'll see Ronnie not making a great deal of effort!

I was pleased the way Ding carried himself in this match, taking his time, not letting himself down like he used to before.

John Higgins. What can you say. Pure class.

Ding had a 91% pot success and played very well. But Higgins had a magnificent 96% pot success and played even better! Good match!

I am gutted for Ding. I think it needs a win like he could have won tonight to get him back to his best. It was a fighting performance for most of the match and I think he needs his battling performances to be rewarded else he may start slipping back into old habits of giving up easily.

I was impressed with Ding's temperament tonight, but It's disappointing the match didn't go to a deciding frame.

Riveting it was, I was very amused by the commentary pairing of Thorne and Doherty, throughout the match the play on the table had them on the back foot for most of the time, Doherty made the best fist of it but WT managed to make, for me, an idiot of himself.

He did play two good matches in this tournament and beat Murphy who he hadn't beat before. So he can take some positive out of it. I think he's coming back slowly. As long as he doesn't bump into Ronnie and Higgins too early in a tournament, I fancy him getting into the business end of at least one of the remaining tournaments this season. He needs to do that to safeguard his top 16 status anyway.
