  • Shot of the Masters 2009

I'm not sure if BBC makes Shot of the Championship for the Masters or whether it's exclusively reserved for the Worlds. Nevertheless, we could make our own contest, even if it's little bit soon. The nominations can always be altered.
And if this thread gets enough calls, I could make a poll, yay! So, please nominate.

    My nominee:
Ali Carter's first red in the third frame of his match with Peter Ebdon. Red over the middle pocket, but doesn't cut in. He plays from the top cushion first the opposite cushion, then the long cushion and hits the red just right to fall into the middle pocket.

Unfortunately, I can't provide a link (which would be the prefered option), but perhaps certain someone on this forum will take a pity of me, and later I could include it.
Robbo's potting is so good he doesn't need to bother with positional play like the rest of the players. He laughs in the face of those who spend hours on the practice table perfecting their cue ball control! ~ Forman

    Mushka... good idea!

If "best" shot includes flukes I'd have to nominate Selby's shot onto red from behind a black snooker in the deciding frame today. That pot must've convinced him that the Gods of Snooker wanted him to win...
    which he did.

Was it in the last frame, hege? I saw only parts of the match and would like to have a look at the double.

Nominees are piling up, I am noting them.

About 9 mins into the clip:

I was wrong though, it wasn't in the final frame, but still a great shot at a crucial time!

Thank you, hege. Wow, he meant to play that?

I'd agree with that, tremendous cue power.

How about Carter's safety shot against Ebdon, where he hit the red very thick, and got back to baulk in a straight line off the black cushion?
