No it isn't. Stephen Hendry used to play like this in the 90s.

O'Sullivan needs to be put under pressure, Perry did it in the first round but ultimately couldn't complete the job.

If Selby puts O'Sullivan under pressure he can beat him, just as he did in the Welsh Open.

Tonight Ronnie gave us an astonishing lesson of break building and cue ball control.

      We should say: - Thanks!

Any player under pressure could be beaten.

The question is: Will Selby do it tomorrow like he did another time? I really don't know...

Ronnie's temperament is what's really impressed me all week! At no time throughout has he showed signs of frustration or loss of interest.

Hendry in the 90's was pheunominal. O'sullivan in the 00's just as pheunominal. Ronnie plays at a quicker tempo but In-off your right that Hendry played snooker like this in the 90's. But Ronnies play tonight just seems to be a different level. It possibly isnt really cant put my finger on it.

If this was as good as it gets, I wonder what you would call Maguire's and Carter's performance in the matches against Robertson and Ebdon. Has Parrott lost his mind? Selby can't win if O'Sullivan plays like this? As if Maguire didn't have chances. I think O'Sullivan might have to play better, and I'm sure he can do that.

Yeah, I agree. I'm pretty sure Selby won't play like Carter or like Maguire did, when they faced ronnie. It would be a huge coincidence if he played poorly against ronnie. Both will need to be on the top of there game, as always.

It's got to be Verhaas, since Tabb and Williams got the semis.

Yan verhaas didn't referee today, so I think it could be him, although I am not sure.

O'Sullivan cant play better than he did tonight surely???

He wasnt missing in the final 4 frames and was AMAZING! But Selby should go into the match knowing that he done it last year and if he concentrates and plays his own game he can take Ronnie all the way. I can safely say that, although Ronnie is my No1 player, if Mark wins tomorrow night I will have nothing but respect for him and be so pleased for the jester.

Good Luck tomorrow boys keep us all in love with the game

The pressure will certainly be more on Mark tomorrow more than the Rocket as he is defending his title and listening to Mark you can see how much it means to him to defend his title. With Ronnie losing to Mark last year you can be sure he will not want to lose to the same player in the same tournament two years on the trot. Though Selby is one of only few players who is capable of beating O Sullivan in the kind of form he has shown over the last 2 days.

The Welsh Open isn't the Masters. Ronnie loves this tournament and has produced his best performances in the finals he won. Selby is going to have to play exceptionally well to win 10-9. That's all he can hope for really
