If Selby puts O'Sullivan under pressure he can beat him, just as he did in the Welsh Open.
If Maguire, playing so well whole week, and the #2 in the world can't put him under pressure so who will?
With all respect to Hendry but this is benchmark snooker from O' Sullivan taking the game to a higher level just because he is so talented.
I saw that going differently in my mind

In-off is right Wim in that Hendry played just as well in the 90's. But his game seems quicker than Hendrys and its as if somethings been added to Hendrys game by Ronnie. If someone hits the nail on the head ill think of it but how to describe his game compared to Hendry??

I think O'Sullivan makes it look easier, like he isn't trying

But for all his natural talent he has had to work hard at his game as well and deserves credit for that

Whenever Hendry and O'Sullivan met at their best it was usually a cracking match - the 2003 British Open final springs to mind

I don't agree that Hendry played just as well in the 90's.
Of course RocketRoy1983 I know it's very difficult to compare them. The easyness and the speed Osullivan is playing the game is perhaps the difference between them. Hendry's result are far better but the way Osullivan can play the game is just unequalled. It's very difficult to describe his added value to the game but it's just there...

So when he made a world record SEVEN centuries in the 1994 UK final what was that, then?

O Sullivan plays with such style, panache, nice tempo, great timing of the ball and can play any shot with the minimum of effort which could be what seperates O Sullivan from Hendry.

Seven's the most anyone's ever made in a final of that length

Statters may be able to tell you what Ronnie's best haul is, but don't be fooled that this is some unbelievable new benchmark because it isn't

That's not to say it isn't very, very impressive stuff because it is, and I think he can play ever better

I understand what your saying In-off but I watched hendry throughout the 90's (as im sure you did too) and Ronnies game seems so much more impressive and entertaining and simpler to watch?

We are not talking about the same thing I guess.
I'm not talking about the stats in 'Hendry's time',. 'Times' can't be compared anyway.
I m referring to the exceptional talent of Ros and the level he- at times - is taking the game.

To be honest, Alex Higgins was more entertaining

But I forgot for a moment that snooker started in 2001

How about Ronnie's 5 centuries in a best of 9 match, one of them being a 147.
