King must obviously be considered a huge favourite here. He's miles ahead of White in the rankings and is still very much competing at televised stages of events. He's also played White a couple of times recently and beaten him. It's clear from his interviews that he's looking forward to this match, and is well prepared for the atmosphere. In fact, he always seems to perform better under such conditions.

White is a bit of a mystery... He says he's been practicing hard for this event, but we all know what he's been up to recently. It remains to be seen whether the crowd support works for or against him. Hopefully he can find some inspiration here. As for his statements that he's here to win the tournament, I don't know whether to laugh or cry. It's a bit pathetic really.

I'll vote for a narrow win in King's favour. Should be an interesting match.

The first about the ACTUAL MATCH, not the BUILD UP and WILDCARD.

Just be thankful that it hasn't been called off because of the snowy conditions

Jimmy beat King in the Bangkok quarter-final, I think it will be a tight match, Jimmy will win

Offcourse King will win the match easily. Beliving in some other scenario is as foolish as the decision to give the wildcard to Jimmy.

I don't know how he can still believe that he's capable of winning tournaments and yet, let it slip in the qualifiers..

I voted for a narrow White win, but it is more of a wish, as King will never be a threat for anybody in the next round..
              All the way Mark J!!

I disagree...The fact that Jimmy has won two tournaments and got to the final of another last year might have something to do with his belief.
I also disagree that King is not a threat to anyone. Both these players on their day can beat anyone, especially in the shorter frame formats.
I do agree that none will win the Masters though as I don't think either can keep their form high for a long enough period to win a really big event. Jimmy celebrates each victory to much and King beats himself up too much and perhaps (like a lot of players) is not as mentally strong as he could or should be. (I hope they prove me wrong)

I am on the fence about who will win heart says Jimmy head says King.:snooker:

                      What a pathetic spectacle.

Hopefully the snooker will be a bit better.

Pathetic spectacle! I would describe it as pure class.

It's a matter of taste I suppose. I couldn't help but cringe when King did his little dance. Awful...
